A few things...

First of all I just wanted to post a few updates on me and my life!

-My divorce should be final by the end of this month. It will feel bittersweet but mostly I am excited to just have it over and final and be able to start really moving on.

-My oldest daughter's pre-school year is coming to an end next month. It has been such a great year for her and I am so excited for her to start kindergarten next year!

-I am starting a parenting class tonight and I am excited. It is a free 6 week course through my daughter's school and I hope it is a good class. I love learning new parenting methods.

-My spring semester of school will be over in about 4 weeks. I can't believe it! I am hoping for all A's. I will be going full steam ahead in the summer and will probably tackle math or science or both! Eek! I think I will at least have a month long break between spring and summer semester! My goal is to graduate and get my AA in Psychology by next Summer!

-I decided to audition for season 10 of the biggest loser. It is something I have always wanted to do and I finally did it this year. So I am throwing it out to the universe and if is meant to be it will be. Keep all your fingers crossed that I will get a callback!!

-Tomorrow is the new aries moon and the start of treasure mapping (aka a vision board) and I can't wait!

Another busy day...I feel guilty but lately I have been trying to stay as busy as possible just so that I don't have very much time to think about everything that is going on in my life. I know I should be happy and excited for a fresh start but I am really struggling with depression, anxiety and feeling sad and lonely. My girls keep me busy which is good. Tonight I took them on a walk to the park and let them play. I have been taking them on a walk or to the park almost every single day and it is good for them and it gives me something to do...

I wish I could just flash forward a year. I know that life is never perfect but being 4 weeks out from a separation is tough. Things are still pretty raw and this is a huge adjustment period for me.

I am trying to just take one day at a time and do what I can handle right now.

Changes....

So some major changes happening in my life so far in 2010. To highlight:

-I started back to school full time with all online classes. It has been stressful at time but I am loving the feeling of having something important in my life that I am doing for ME!

-My husband and I separated. Don't really feel like talking about it other than it has been a long time coming. It has been tough but I am trying to embrace my new life and identity as a single Mama.

-Moved out of my apartment (that I shared with my husband) and into my parents house with my two children. Lots of change and adjustment there obviously.

-started going to support meetings and therapy.

-have started taking long walks out in nature.

-am not doing digi scrapping anymore at all (no time for it) and my my admin position (on the scrap site I was on) was terminated due to the board shutting down. I miss scrapping but have absolutely no time for it right now.

-have started getting into photography again. Even if I have no time to organize or do anything with my pictures I am loving getting out my camera again.

-reading a lot of self help/motivational books.

-going to bed early and rising early (which has been a hard change for me esp. with how busy I am) which I need for my sanity.

-signed my oldest up for kindergarten and am looking into signing my youngest up for pre-k next year as well as some daycare for both a couple of days a week so that I can continue to pursue school full time.

-have made a few new friends.

-am trying to get re-connected with my family again.

-going to start a garden soon and an outside clothesline (which I have always wanted!)

-started journaling again.

-signed up for a few helpful daily e-mail things (divorce care and notes from the universe)

-am managing my depression and anxiety with two anti depressants and got off xanax and sleeping pills.

-have committed my limited online free time to one single parenting board (as opposed to many) and am loving that particular board and feel like it is what I need at this point in my life.

-am embracing my love and quest for natural parenting, living and health and body care. That is right, I am a full on hippie. You know what though? I love it. Lol. ;)

A tough day.

I have been really hard on myself lately. I have always struggled with the winter blues...for me it gets pretty severe in the winter. My depression that is. I don't know why. I guess it is the cold, dark weather. I love the fall, spring and summer when I can take my little girls outside all the time, go to the park, walk on the greenbelt and look at nature, etc. We have a tiny apartment and it gets to feeling pretty claustrophobic when we are cooped up for periods of time. Not only has it been freezing outside lately but we all got the stomach flu that has now turned into a nasty cold and sinus infection. Yuck.

Anyway each day that passes is a day closer to warmer weather. I really need to live somewhere tropical where it is warm year round...

New Year 2010

So as I am going over a mental list of things I would like to acheive this year I have realized a few things...Number 1, I do not have the time or energy, etc. for a super cool Arts & Crafts Blog. I see the many blogs that feature Arts & Crafts of Various sorts and while I commend those people and love reading those blogs I just don't have enough hours in a day to be a SAHM to two little ones, commute almost an hour each way to get my oldest to pre-k 4 times a week, try to keep up with the dishes and the laundry (do not have a dishwasher or laundry machine), keep the house clean, cook, grocery shop, take a full load of online classes, be a wife, be an admin for a digital scrapbooking site, pursue my own Photography and Scrapbooking interests and run a blog about Arts & Crafts. So I might have gone off on a bit of a tangent but this year I promise to myself that if I blog it is on my terms...for myself...and that I won't try to think of ways to have a cool and popular blog because at the end of the day I need to cut corners and I just can't do everything!

That said this post is done. Done I tell you!

A lot of changes going on in my life recently! So here are some of the updates:

-I just got signed up for school (am starting in Jan. & majoring in Elementary Education.
-Recently got hooked on scrapbooking again and in addition to making layouts, I am starting to learn how to make my own kits. Not very good at designing yet but it is a work in progress!
-Was offered the chance to be a Challenge Hostess, a Creative Team Member and Administrator on the awesome Digital Freebie (aka Friday Freebie) board. I am so excited about this opportunity. I have had the chance to run forums in the past and it is a lot of fun! So excited to join Tracy's team. :)
-Started a daily walk regime (so far it only consists of pushing the little ones in the double stroller and walking to the park) and it is really helping to combat the winter blues.
-My oldest Daughter Audrey has been in pre-school since Sept. and is blossoming so much, it really is amazing to see. My youngest Olivia is turning 3 this month and is just starting to really develop into her own little person.
-My husband Paul is also in school and is majoring in Education. Our spring semester consists mainly of the same classes which will be a lot of fun.
-Looking into part time preschool/daycare for both girls for the spring so that Mommy & Daddy have time for part time jobs and a full load of classes!
